Core Return Policy
ENSURING ACCURATE AND TIMELY CORE CREDITS
At Powertrain Solutions, we prioritize accurate customer identification and core tracking to provide timely core credits. The following core instructions must be followed to ensure proper credit. Cores must be returned and received at our facility within 30 days of receiving the remanufactured unit by the Authorized Installer to be eligible for full core credit.

CORE RETURN INSTRUCTIONS
- Approved Return Authorization: Required for prior serialization, accurate customer identification, and core tracking for core credit.
- Complete and Assembled Cores: Cores must be fully drained, fully assembled, and complete. All components furnished with the remanufactured unit must return with the core, internal or external. This includes torque converters (must use holding fixtures or brackets furnished), any external components, brackets, fittings, electrical components, sensors, linkages, shifter sub-assemblies, switches, and any components furnished with the remanufactured unit.
- Identical Core Return: The returned core must be identical to the part number furnished, including torque converters and any other components.
- Proper Packaging: All holding fixtures, containers, pods, totes, plugs, boxes, pallets, and straps must be returned and used properly for core shipment to reduce possible damage.
(Tip for your success: We recommend taking a picture of how the core is packaged within the container and on the pallet prior to shipment. This is the only way to prove liability against shipping damage. Otherwise, damage to the core, components, or shipping products may be recorded during our core receipt inspection and may result in core charges to the shipper.)

GENERAL CORE CHARGES
Core charges may be partial or up to the full core charge amount unless specifically listed below. More than one situation listed may be applied or added together to any one core charge up to the full core charge amount (i.e., unit returned late, unassembled, missing components, etc.). We reserve the right to make authorized exceptions on a case-by-case basis.
- Core returned 30 Days late - 25% core charge if return is within 30-60 days.
- No core returned or more than 60 days - 100% core charge, no refund or credit.
- Incorrect core, not the correct part number - 100% core charge, no refund or credit.
- Missing internal or external components including electrical - Up to 50% of core charge.
- Unit returned unassembled - 50% of core charge.
- Missing torque converter - Up to 50% of core charge.
- Broken Case or castings (Bell, Extension, etc.) - Up to 75% of core charge.
- Front wheel drive with blown differential - Up to 75% of core charge.
- Missing shipping brackets, straps - $20.00 each.
- Missing pallet if supplied - $50.00
- Missing or damaged shipping container - $300.00 each.
- Fluid not drained from units or components - $50.00. (Remember: All hazardous materials leaks, fines, clean-up charges, or issues during shipment are the responsibility of the packager and shipper until core receipt)
TRANSMISSION COOLERS, THERMAL BYPASSES, AND COOLING SYSTEMS
Authorized Installers must comply with and follow procedures accurately, or warranties may be voided. If a thermal bypass is furnished, then the core must be returned, or it will be considered a missing component, which will result in a core charge. (Tip for your success: We recommend taking pictures of cooler installations, including hydraulic lines, for warranty purposes at the time of installation. Send these images to your customer service representative. These images will be scanned into our system.)
CORE CHARGES AND CREDITS
Core charges are applied with purchase, and credits or refunds are subject to the policies and procedures listed above, which are agreed upon at the time of purchase of any part or remanufactured unit.
